Every Tarnhound coat and jumper is sized by back length, measured from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. Measure first, then use the calculator.
Which size is your dog?
Coats are sized by back length, not by breed or weight. Thirty seconds with a tape measure is the difference between a coat that fits and a return.

How to measure
- Back length. Stand your dog square. Run a soft tape along the spine from the base of the neck, where the collar sits, to the base of the tail. Leave the tail out.
- Chest. Around the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs. Keep two fingers under the tape.
- Neck. For collars only, where the collar sits, again with two fingers under the tape.
The size chart
Back length decides the size. Chest is a check: if your dog is deeper in the chest than the size allows, take the next one up.
